The LouHazel Suite provides a more modern feel while still giving guests a taste of another time. With an open floor plan and state of the art appliances and materials, like the quartz countertops and 8-nozzle shower tower, visitors will find all their needs met. Be charmed by the exposed brick, carriage door bed frame, and other Victorian-era touches. The open kitchen is well-suited for entertaining a small group, or providing tranquil coziness for a couple. A full front balcony offers views of historic downtown, and an even larger back porch is perfect for those quiet, early morning coffee breaks. This building, purchased by the Mueths in 2016, was once owned by Louie & Hazel Deickman, who lived on the second floor while running a barbershop downstairs. Louie Deickman, known as Boopy Dieckmann, used to cut hair where the big picture window is on the first floor. The Mueths are still researching the full history of this building, which is believed to have been built around the 1870s, based on the brick and wood work. Make sure to check out the outhouse, which is original to the building, and is thought to be the last outhouse in Red Bud.
